Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a compelling book by Doug Wright, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl," and "Part of Your World."
The story follows the journey of a young mermaid princess who is willing to give up her life in the sea as a mermaid to gain a human soul. Beside a great story this Musical explores the marvelous marine life of the sea and oceans. This Performance is educational and a great support to the music, art and science lessons for all the children of Cyprus. Children observe various plants and animals that live in each of the ocean’s zones. Our message with this Musical will be:The sea contains rich and vital ecosystems and we all should be the guardians of our natural resources and protect the sea and its inhabitants.
